1932-34 "Brother, can you spare a dime?" became the theme song of America's jobless workers. To aid our community's unemployed women, the club participated in Federal Aid workshops, and put on fund raising projects for donations to the needy.

The Southside Woman’s Club of Jacksonville’s will be collecting personal hygiene products & undergarments, for children who have "accidents" at school and for children who don't even have sock on freezing days. Our campaign continues through the summer into the fall, as we collect gently used pants, shorts & skorts for these under-served children.
