Benefits of Membership

The Southside Woman’s Club of Jacksonville has a goal to be of service to others, improve our social, cultural, physical environment, and to promote an appreciation of the arts.  We strive to become responsible leaders in our community.

We are a local, 108 years young, not for profit club affiliated with the General Federation of Women's Clubs, the largest organization of volunteer women in the world.  The motto, "Unity in Diversity" is fundamental to what it means to be a member of the Southside Woman’s Club.

Friendship: In an increasingly impersonal world, The Southside Woman’s Club provides one of the basic human needs - the need for friendship and fellowship. 

Opportunity to Serve: The Southside Woman’s Club is a service club. This is one of the best reasons to become a member - the chance to do something for somebody else and to feel the self-fulfillment that comes in the process and return of that satisfaction to one's own life.  It is very rewarding.

Citizenship in the Community:  Membership in the Southside Woman’s Club makes one a better community citizen.

    The most significant benefits of belonging to the Southside Woman’s Club are the support, encouragement, comfort, enthusiasm, creativity, and friendship.  These benefits are shared by club women from all walks of life, with varied perspectives, diverse backgrounds, and different experiences.
